Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or accessing any feature of the RUNE platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and RUNE Systems LLC ("RUNE," "we," "us").
2. Account & Registration
You must be at least 13 years old to use RUNE. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and consented to these Terms on your behalf. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized use.
3. AI Features — Ember & Ghost
RUNE provides two AI-assisted features: Ember, your personal AI companion, and Ghost, a supervisory reasoning layer. These features are provided for educational and personal-development purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise). RUNE makes no warranty that AI outputs are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Ghost and Ember build a persistent model of your interaction patterns. You may delete this data at any time through your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
RUNE offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. RUNE does not store or process your payment card data directly — all payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize charges to your payment method on the schedule disclosed at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time via your billing settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
5. Guilds
Guild owners are responsible for their members' compliance with these Terms. Seat-based Guild subscriptions are billed through Stripe. The Guild owner controls membership and may revoke access at any time. RUNE reserves the right to suspend a Guild for violation of these Terms.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to circumvent authentication, rate limits, or access controls;
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract training data from the AI systems;
- Upload or transmit harmful, harassing, or abusive content;
- Use RUNE to generate content that violates third-party intellectual property rights.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
7. Data & Privacy
Your use of RUNE is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Intellectual Property
The RUNE platform, including all software, design, AI models, and content, is the property of RUNE Systems LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. You retain ownership of content you create using the Service, but grant RUNE a limited license to process and store that content to provide the Service.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RUNE SYSTEMS LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL RUNE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Your State], United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Your County], [Your State].
